EXPECTATIONS

Be prepared, there will be a lot of work ahead and we are expecting you to put in as much work as we will put into this.

 

Bring all study materials so I can review them and let you know how to incorporate them in your studies. Always remember, we are only a call/email/text away so contact me when you get stuck or just don't know what to do.  We will be meeting twice a week for 2 hours at a time.

TOOLS

We have a number of different tools that can help students with their studies . It is very important to be open and honest about any barriers that occur during student sessions . We will offer tools ONLY if they will help. We do not want to overwhelm our students with unnecessary information. Communication is key!

WHAT TO DO FOR QUESTIONS?

I require that my students use a platform for questions. In my experience Lippincott Passpoint-RN helps prepare my student with the right amount of information to pass NCLEX.  This program is adaptive to each individual and showcases their weaknesses and strengths.

Each student will receive a calendar of events for the upcoming 4-week session.  This calendar will focus on Test Strategies Only (categorized by NCLEX topics)

       Note:  (5th and 6th Edition is okay to have)

We have most of these books in the PDF versions.  Let us know if you need a copy of these books in the PDF version.   However, we do know that students prefer the physical copy of the books mentioned above let us know how we may assist you.

WHAT SHOULD I BE DOING WHILE WAITING FOR CLASSES TO START?

This is a question that we get on a regular basis.  Although it may seem that this would be an easy question to answer. There is no cookie cutter answer.

 

The ideation is that a student should be prepared for tutoring sessions prior to, by studying as much of the content as possible without getting "burned out".

 

The premise is that tutoring session should be a review and not a teaching session. However, if there is particular content missing, we will definitely review the topic if it is a vital topic to NCLEX.

1. Review book list and use these books to review your content.

2. Prepare yourself to purchase a program to answer questions

3. Prepare your schedule so when classes start you will be free to study and prepare for pass NCLEX!!

GOOGLE CLASSROOM

We will be using google classroom to communicate all classroom homework and events.  All students will have access to this online platform. We are a paperless provider and have everything stored on our online drive.

 

This is to ensure students have access to all materials reviewed in class at all times. I encourage you to download the Google Classroom app to your phone, so you can be connected for all notifications. This site is user friendly and simple to use.

 

Please log in to class prior to classes starting. All documents will be uploaded as the class progresses along.

1. Login to your gmail account.  (If you do not have one please create one as this the only way to gain access to the classroom materials )

2. Once logged into your Gmail account. Go to Google search and type in 'Google Classroom'

3. Click on the option to login as a student.

4. Then put in the class code provided by the instructor.
